If a taxpayer qualifies for one these homestead exemptions and it isn't reflected on a tax bill, is it too late to get credit for 2021?

No, it isn't.

Contact the Kane County Assessment Office at (630) 208-3818 to determine if you qualify. If you do, the Board of Review will issue a Certificate of Error and either a corrected tax bill will be issued or a refund will be sent.

The last day a Certificate of Error can be issued to correct a 2021 tax bill is October 1, 2022.
